There are a few events that lead to initiation of this project. 1. Never really pleased with the stock headunit. I’ve upgraded the amplifier IC to TDA7560, changed the front speakers to aftermarket one and added DICE silverline PRO for the ipod. Somehow, bass to the front speakers are weak as if there is somekind of crossover/equalizer filtering the low frequency out. 2. Torrent box motherboard was suspected broken. So a mini-itx board was bought to replace the old one. Since there are no more motherboards with socket 478 and DDR SDRAM, the old hardware have to go away. Being cost concious, the cheapest options for a computer is a soldered Atom. It turns out that the actual problem is the power supply not the motherboard. So now I have a mini-itx motherboard to play with 3. Always wanted to venture into this. Just need a good reason and now I have one. 4. Because I can!
